SlackCommunication & alerts

Operational alerts where your team already works.

Connect OpsBrain to Slack in a couple of clicks and route the events that matter to the right channels. Messages arrive with full run context and action links, so people can claim work or jump into a run without leaving the conversation.

Capabilities

What you can do

Connect with OAuth

Authorize once and OpsBrain discovers your workspace. No bot tokens to copy, no config files to maintain.

Pick channels per rule

A channel picker lists your workspace so each rule posts exactly where it should. Private channels work too, just /invite the OpsBrain app.

Filter what fires

Notify on the events you choose, filtered by team, workflow, run duration, skipped steps or flag type. Nothing else gets through.

Rich, actionable messages

Alerts arrive as structured messages with context fields and an action link, like a Claim run button that deep links straight into the work.

Cooldowns keep it calm

Set a cooldown per rule so a noisy hour becomes one message, not forty. Choose compact, standard or detailed formatting per rule.

Speaks your team's language

Messages render in your organization's language: English, Spanish or French. Delivery logs and automatic retries come as standard.

In practice

How teams use it

A flag on the floor reaches the right people in seconds

A worker flags a broken scale mid run. OpsBrain posts to #ops-alerts with the workflow, the step, the worker's note and a link to the run. The supervisor answers in the thread and the shift keeps moving.

New work gets claimed straight from the channel

An external order triggers a run and it lands in the team queue. Slack gets a message with the priority and a Claim run link. Whoever is free taps it and the run opens with everything prefilled.

Runs that drag get noticed the same day

Set a rule for runs that exceed their usual duration. When the receiving workflow crosses two hours, the ops manager sees it in Slack while there is still time to help, not in next week's report.

AI suggestions reach the person who can act

When OpsBrain generates an optimization suggestion for a workflow, the process owner gets it in their channel with the evidence behind it. Reviewing improvements becomes part of the daily flow instead of a quarterly meeting.

Setup

How it works

01

Connect your workspace

Authorize OpsBrain from the integrations page. OAuth handles the rest, no tokens to manage.

02

Choose your channels

Pick a destination channel per notification rule from the discovery picker.

03

Write the rules

Choose when each rule fires, add filters, set a cooldown and pick a detail level.

04

Test and go live

Send a test delivery to check the formatting, then switch the rule on. Every delivery is logged.
